The Polish Meat and Poultry Processing Industry MAT S.A. is a distribution chain which has been on the market for 19 years. The chain consists of 17 thriving wholesale outlets spread across Poland in all major Polish cities. Our clients include butcher and grocery shops as well mass catering establishments, and others. We offer professional services of top European standards, based on many years of operation and experience.  

Our staff in the local branches is a well-coordinated team of nearly 400 experienced and qualified salespeople, who work for more than ten thousand customers in Poland and abroad. We offer a wide range of top quality products at the best prices. Our offer includes nearly 2,000 items – a broad selection of cured, processed and canned meat and poultry as well as dairy products.   

As a company we comply with European standards, which was recognized a few years ago when we were awarded HACCP and ISO 2001 certificate.  Our reputation for a friendly atmosphere has been confirmed by a number of awards and accolades, such as ‘Orzeł Agrobiznesu’ (Agrobusiness Eagle) or ‘Fair Play Company 2006’. We have our own transportation fleet and a large logistic platform - the Cleared Warehouse in the heart of the company in Grudziądz. With this infrastructure, we are capable of delivering products to our customers on time to their door. 

All of our branches are monitored by efficient management and administrative staff, who work in the company headquarters.  A consistent approach, modern management techniques and planned product and marketing policies are the main assets of our management staff, who do an excellent job running a multi-branch company. 

The distribution section of our corporate group purchases products from a few hundred meat and dairy suppliers and sells processed products to a wide range of our customers. One of our suppliers is the second largest company in our group - MAT Meat Processing Factory in Czerniewice Sp z o. o. Selling under our brands, such as Polskie Specjały, Świecie, ZM Czerniewice and MAT Premium, is both a challenge and a priority for us. However, our own brands make up a mere 30% of our total sales.  

At MAT. S.A. we have long believed that it is only thanks to a wide range of products that we are capable of ‘satisfying our customers’ needs on the ever-changing market’, which is in line with the company’s mission. This is why we wish to continue our partnership with Poland’s top producers. 

ZM MAT in Czerniewice is MAT S.A.’s subsidiary. Besides broadening our product range, this company’s mission is to meet our clients’ individual needs, which can only be satisfied thanks to the company’s own production capability. It is for this reason that for a few months the two companies from our group have been using the same state-of-the-art integrated IT system, which offers shared management opportunities.
